Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT F. SANGSTER We are saddened by the sudden passing of Robert Frederick Sangster. Robert was born April 25, 1919 and passed away December 19, 2006 at Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg. Robert (Scrooge) was predeceased by his wife Maggie (Squack) in 1990, and his brothers, Raymond, Reginald and Norman (Moe). He will be missed by his sister Eileen and brother-in-law Bill; sister Thelma; sister-in-in-law Marion; as well as several nieces and nephews, grand- nephews, as well as great-grand-nephews and niece. He will be especially missed by his close friend and companion Evelyn Beer. Robert was a Second World War Veteran who served as a Corporal in the Canadian Army Corps in the Ordnance Core Division in Holland. He had a working career with the Winnipeg School Board as a painter. Robert was very active as a Legion member. Robert was Past President and longtime active member of the Fort Rouge Curling Club since the age of 16. He was also a longtime summer resident of Grand Beach, MB, and will be missed by all his friends from the beach, as well as everyone he touched. Robert loved his crib game and in fact his last two wins were against one of the local nurses at Victoria Hospital where he skunked her on his very last game. Our sincere thanks to the caring staff of Unit 2 and ICU at Victoria General Hospital. In accordance with Bob's wishes, there will be no funeral or service. Robert will be cremated by Thomson Funeral Homes and a family memorial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
